What is BWI in India ?

Business with Impact Co-creation in India

The BWI journey was the great way to explore new business opportunities and pilot affordable solutions to one of the largest rural supply chains in India. In India over 700 million people live in rural villages with limited services and infrastructure . India is major market and development are for new affordable and sustainable solutions.

The journey was organized but TEKES and Drishtee in collaboration with Team Finland partners. The journey begins (20.3.2014) with four day long field research in Bihar and continued with a workshop and networking dinner in Patna (25.3.2014). High level workshop & reception was held in Embassy of Finland, New Delhi on (26.3.2014) which offered us an opportunity to present achieved results and to discuss with companies and representativies of ministries and other governmental actors about development need, delivery of scalable solutions and business co-creation.

The areas of future development are abundant covering agriculture, textile manufacturing, aqua culture, energy, housing, water, sanitation, health, education and entrepreneurial training.

Looking forward for your new ideas, solutions and co-operation to continue this journey!
